I thought about writing this in Spanish but, since most of the opinions I've encountered about this issue have surprisingly been coming from foreigners (alarmingly NON LATIN AMERICANS) I decided to write it in English in order to make myself clear. I would like to clarify that every single word or quote that I put here is absolutely real and that I have no hidden intention to lie, because to start with, I am NOT a sympathiser of right wing groups, or right wing political parties, also I would like to clarify that I am not seeking to discredit anyone but only exposing a part of the reality of Venezuela I have been in contact with. Nuevamente escribo sobre el tema del Tíbet, y en esta ocasión con un título un tanto atrevido y seguramente para muchos, idealista. Es cierto que el tema de los derechos humanos, y el discursos alrededor del mismo ha hecho que en muchos lugares no se tome de manera seria y en los casos màs extremos, ya es un tema que se ignora. We all around the world have heard about terrorism and how world leaders and international organisations claim for it to end as well as condemnations and ‘This is not the last of it’ declarations coming from the perpetrators. The part of why these attacks and terrible activities happen and why it is increasing however, really few international actors and Governments have wondered about the real reasons behind extremism and terrorism. I've been asked many times about the situation of women in both my country and my region. Since I do believe that women's status in every part of the world is a matter relevant to both the international community and to many countries, I would like to spend some sentences inside this entry in order to express a bit of my views regarding this issue. Ya van hacia 130. Ciento treinta personas inocentes que se prenden fuego a sí mismas en el Tíbet y nadie en la comunidad internacional o en alguna organización internacional se ha pronunciado en torno al tema. La verdad es que como internacionalista lo entiendo pero no lo apruebo en lo absoluto. I decided to write abouty this topic because to start with, I really like themes related to Defence and also to War Studies and also because I had to get involved with concepts related to strategy and war during my research of North Korea. El 22 de noviembre tuve la suerte de haber sido invitada por uno de mis ex profesores del posgrado (Dibyesh Anand) a una mesa en mi alma mater de la maestría con la desafiante pregunta: '¿El Dalai Lama es malo para Occidente?' como título. La verdad es que aparte de haberme dado la grata sorpresa de que también estaría otro de mis ex profesores de la maestría y de las personas por las que me metí en este asunto del Tíbet ya de lleno (Tsering Topgyal)estuvo bastante interesante.
