Japan and Korea have been facing ups and and downs in their interactions since the end of World War II. The role of Japan on this matter, has served as a determinant factor within the context of foreign affairs in Asia, for it affects interests and relations among the most important economies on the continent, namely Japan, Korea and China.  The past is revived almost every year at the moment Korea celebrates its National Liberation Day and whenever Japanese officials visit Yatsukuni Shrine. The way foreign affairs and everything related to them therefore, depend on how each of the parties and their governments interpret and react towards how history has been told. El día de hoy hace 56 años, las tropas del Partido Comunista invadieron el Tíbet y ocuparon su capital, Lhasa, en su intento de hacer a China un sólo país por la fuerza de una forma brutal y totalmente ilegal. Kissinger comentó en algún momento que China tiene la particularidad que hasta estos tiempos, no había tenido intenciones de colonizar algún otro país como lo hicieron las naciones de Occcidente, sino que impuso el colonialismo (tanto cultural como étnico) en todo lo que los objetivos de un Reino del Centro del Mundo pretendía consolidar, sin importar que esto implicara arrasar con culturas milenarias como la tibetana.  Este triste y por demás condenable hecho, culminó en la partida de SS Dalai Lama hacia la India donde hasta estos días, gobierna desde el exilio.
